Nightclub
romantic, yet comfortable and reserved...
|
One of the most practical dances ever conceived, Nightclub is an attractive, romantic slow dance designed for medium tempo ballad or "love song" music. It is great for social events because it can be danced to songs that no other ballroom or country dance fits. Best of all, the structure of Nightclub interjects a hint of formality into dancing to songs that, previously, were for "hold-me-tight," partners-only dancing. Nightclub dance tunes are always played at social events, making it a real asset to learn: it will be used often! It is great for small floors, too. Nightclub is primarily a "spot" or stationary dance, characterized by side step and rock step actions. Popular Nightclub music includes “When You Love Someone” by Bryan Adams, “Old Friend” by Lyle Lovett, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” by Elton John, and “Don't Cry” by Guns & Roses. There are plenty of popular country Nightclubs, too, such as “One More Day” by Diamond Rio and "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack.
